Here comes the thunder
Look out for the rain
The world has been shivering in agony and pain
The grey sky has reclined itself, over the dawn
Here goes the soldiers
Their hands gripping a gun
Forward they march into the enemies home
Where some fall in the mud to their knees,
"God don't let me die alone, please..."
The lightning strikes
Leaving golden scars across the mourning sky
For today hundreds of men and women will die
The storm is raging above one remaining soldier's head
All that surrounds him are his friends whom are dead
"Why did I say yes? Why did I come to this war? I can't take this at all...no not anymore."
The sky cries out,
The lonely soldier does too.
Then turns the barrel upon himself... "This is what I have to do."
A loud bang, a flash, and the soldier loses his life
Leaving a three month old baby and a loving wife
He had to do it, he was the only one...do you understand?
It hurts to live within only the consoles of a gun
The remaining soldier had to die under the same stormy sky
Yes, the same sky that ended every other soldier's day
Painting the verdant grass crimson
And the sky red, where it once was grey
